Chicken enchiladas are good for this. Spagetti isn't bad but it is easier to just cook the hamburger and freeze the hamburger alone and then just add the spagetti sauce later...unless you do a spagetti bake and then it is good.
Shepards Pie, Tater-tot casserole, Tuna-Noodle casserole, Also baking some chicken and dicing it or shreeding it and then just freezing dinner size portions for a quick fresh veggie stir fry is good. :) Good luck. If you need recipes, just shoot me an email. Love ya
Vegetable beef soup freezes well. Check out my friend Becky's blog. She does freezer meals all the time. There's a link on my page--she's "Nine is Fine".
I do shepards pie, enchiladas (without the sauce), chicken roll-ups, pot pies, (lasagna, manicotti) rolls, breadsticks, cinnamon rolls...think thats about it!
Chicken pot pie. My family LOVES it! Easy-peasy! You can buy pie crust or make it and fill it with a mixture of cream of celery soup, cream of chicken soup, mixed veggies, salt & pepper and chicken (you can use canned). Top with butter and top crust (don't forget to make slits!). Bake for about an hour at 350F. If it is frozen, bake for about 2 hours. It is delicious, I promise! And you can throw in whatever pleases your family. I highly recommend it. Note: I usually make 3 at a time (my recipe makes 6 single or 3 double crusts.) and eat one that night and freeze the other two for later. Enjoy!
Here is what I do...shepherds casserole, chicken pot pie (without any topping because I use pillsbury crescent rolls over the top), meatloaf, funeral potatoes (cheesy potatoes), lasagna, chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, taco soup, chicken noodle soup without the noodles I add those when I cook it, diced chicken, noodle casserole that has alfredo sauce and ham and bacon and chicken. a casserole that is the same as spaghetti but it has cream cheese in it. Thats all I can think of right now...hth
I found on one of my coupon sites a whole bunch of freezer meals and ideas, here's the link with 16 of the recipes. http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/2010/04/freezer-cooking-w-the-fabfrugals-the-menu.html Hope that helps! I love freezer meals.

ReplyDeleteYou are so smart! Alas, the only thing I freeze is jam...and bread...I wasn't nearly as organized as you before babes came. Hope all is well!

I have frozen chicken enchiladas before as well as the yummy alfredo. It freezes and then all you have to do is cook noodles.
