The results are in....

If you read my previous post about some of my favorites, you will recall that I LOVE the honey butter you get from Texas Roadhouse. I also mentioned that if you wanted to be my best friend, you would leave the recipe as a comment. With that said, I am officially naming my cousin Angie as my new best friend. Congratulations on your achievement! To all the rest of you...better luck next time.

Now, the moment we have all been waiting for:

Honey Butter (not official Texas Roadhouse recipe, but tastes just like it)

1 cup real butter (not margarine), softened at room temperature
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter with hand mixer for 2 minutes. Add honey and cinnamon. Beat until creamy. Spread on hot rolls, bread, scones or toast. And don't forget to lick your lips and savor every bite!

Predictability

My wish for just ONE day: to have my life be completely and undeniably predictable. Yeah, I know you all are saying how boring that would be and if we knew the decisions that we were GOING to make then that totally defeats the plan we were sent here to perform. But, if we knew what was going to happen when faced with a decision...then life would be so much EASIER at our house right now.

We're friends, right? So, you would be okay with me venting all my frustration about the decisions having to be made at our house right now. Here it goes:

AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrGGGGGGGGGGggggggggHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh!!!

Thanks, I feel a little better now!

I "heart"....

Warning: this is not a "tag". Just a random sampling of...ME!

*I love warm weather and am screaming for Spring to come quickly.

*I love bargain shopping. I can't seem to get enough of it.

*I love free Monday night Redbox and watching it with my boyfriend...(aka husband)...after the kids go to bed!

*I love my pajama bottoms and wish they were the new hip fashion.

*I love the new "Beauty Rush" line of body mist from Victoria Secret's...Candy, Baby and Appletini! I think I over use it though. I put it on after I get out of the shower, after I put my under garments on, and then after I put my clothes on.

*I love HGTV and can't seem to get enough of it.

*I love budgeting and thinking of ways I can save money.

*I love when I get to use a coupon. It is a drug for me!

*I love crockpot recipes. Easy and fast. Yes, it has to cook all day, so it seems like it is a "slow" meal, but just throw your ingredients in there and your done...FAST!

*I love bubble baths in the dark...then when I am done...Appletini spritz! =)

*I love the D.I. Yes, I actually said that. There are many lost treasures waiting to be found. I can't wait to go on my next treasure hunt!

*I love my body pillow and pink fuzzy blanket. Yes, I am like a child and have to have both in order to go to bed. I can't STAND my knees touching...hence...the body pillow...MUST! The blanket...last year's Valentine from my boyfriend...aka husband!

*I love the honey butter you get at Texas Roadhouse (forget the rolls). I think I could eat it by the spoon full. If anyone has a recipe that even comes close, please be my best friend and leave the recipe as a comment.

*I love filling my car up with gas. Crazy weird. I love seeing how cheap it is now!

*I love cleaning my house...am a little OCD about it. I am definitely NOT a pack rat!

*I love that you actually read till the very end. Thanks!

"Booger, mama, booger!"

Our little man has had quite the problem not being able to keep his finger away from his nose. He is almost always picking his nose. When he has success in what he is digging for, he usually will bring it to me..."here, mama, here!" Hey, at least he will bring it to me...his sister just eats her treasures she finds in her nose. Yea, I'm gagging...are you gagging. I'll wait.....

Okay, we better now....good...let's move on. Yesterday Jaxon comes to me holding a bead (shown in picture) from Maycie's jewelry making set. "Go give it to Maycie, buddy." And he darts off. A few minutes goes by and comes back with a strange look on his face. "Booger, mama, booger." As the words, "go get a tissue so mommy can get it," is about to escape my tongue, I realize he just had a bead. By this time he is crying...no screaming is a better word to describe it. Flashlight, I need a flashligt. Found one. Sure enough, a pink bead stuck clear up his nose. Breath, breath, breath. Okay, what now? Find a plunger. Plunged once, no good. Plunged twice, no good. Crap. Breath, breath, breath. Okay, now what? Call dad at work. Dad says take him to the doctor/ER...or at least that is what I think he said...Jaxon was screaming too hard to hear very well. Put your clothes on. Hurry...breath....hurry...breath. As I am about to rush out the door (from a fly on the wall, you would have thought he was dying the way I was reacting), I remembered a conversation with my friend, Ashley, a while back. Okay, now what? Breath, breath, breath. Call Ashley. She shared a tip with me. Lay him on his back, plug the nostril that isn't clogged, and blow a puff of air into his mouth. Say what? Yup, it worked. I layed Jaxon on his back, plugged the nostril that wasn't clogged, and blew a puff of air into his mouth...well it was more like through his teeth because he was still screaming and fighting my trying to blow this bead out of his nose. First blow, half way out, second blow...here it came...along with a bunch of snot that shot all over the side of my face. Yummy!

So, next time your child shoves something up there nose...now you know how to get it out!

Your trash....my treasure!!

In hopes of one day being able to decorate a home, I have been searching for cheap, thrifty ways to decorate. I was at the D.I. dropping some of my "junk" off (in hopes that someone will find it and consider it a treasure!). I decided to walk in and take a breeze to see if there was anything worth while.

And then, our eyes met! I just knew I HAD to have it, especially with a small price tag of $2.
I just knew this wall piece had potential. Scroll down to see.....

I painted the wood black. I touched up the 3 metal pieces with black spray paint. I mod podge scrap book paper to the 2 squares. I painted chip board letters black. I am thinking I want to make a clock out of the top square. The "family" is not striking my "that looks really good" bone, so it may come off. But, not too shabby huh!!! And especially for $2.12 (with tax)!

I'm still here!

Hello to all my fellow bloggers,

So, long story...but the jist of it is....my husband was helping a gentleman type a resume on our computer. They wanted him to have a different email address to put on the resume, so they created a gmail account for him. I don't know what happened, but ever since then it won't let me log in to my blog. So, I HAVE to create a new one. I hope you all find me!
